Climate Ready Truckee Plan Complete At the July 28, 2020 Town Council meeting, staff and the consultant team presented the final Climate Ready Truckee - Climate Change Adaptation Plan to Town Council. This plan is the result of a nearly 2.5 year process that began in February 2018 with a successful application to the California Department of Transportation's Transportation Planning Grant program. The process was driven by deep community engagement which included multiple public and stakeholder workshops, online surveys, pop-up events, specific engagement with Latinx community members, and an advisory committee that met monthly. The output from this plan, strategies to address climate change in Truckee, will be incorporated into the 2040 General Plan as part of a new climate-focused element.
